Born in 1983, Hashimoto Ryohei works at a facility in Suita City, where he is involved in tasks like recycling old paper and maintaining flower beds. After work, he dedicates time to his art.

He prefers smooth-textured papers such as the backs of newspaper inserts or calendars, drawing lines as if enjoying the felt-tip pen gliding over the surface. Initially, Hashimoto depicted heavy machinery like forklifts and bulldozers in abstract, pattern-like forms. Over time, the density of his lines increased, transforming his work into layered, surface-like compositions.
Currently, his artistic expression is shifting toward a playful exploration of texture, moving beyond fixed motifs or traditional painting styles.
