Born in 1994, began creating paintings around 2013 at Atelier Corners (Abeno Ward, Osaka).

Kawano’s work, composed of densely repeated lines drawn with fine pigment pens, evokes the passage of time and the accumulation of labor poured into each piece. Some drawings, worked over so intensely that the paper itself becomes frayed, carry a deep emotional resonance.
Since around 2022, Kawano has also been producing works with broader pens, creating color field compositions that make full use of the transparency and layering effects unique to water-based pigment markers.
